Brynns Latest

I don't think that I do enough updates on my Brynni Brynn. Its just that her advances are very subtle that its hard to really take notice because they are not physical milestone...so its not like all of a sudden she is quoting Shakespeare (sp?)

What can I say about Brynn. She is your typical toddler. She is a blast most of the time, and also very difficult a lot of the time as well.

Let see. She has slipped into her big sister roll nice and easily. She has started "Telling" on her...The other day we were in the living room and she came up to me and said

"Uh, Oh! MOMMY, Lookit: Audrey playing TV...No, Audrey No!"

Audrey had skooted over to the TV stand and started chewing on cords...I know...bad mommy for not catching it before Brynn.

But she also has her sweet big sis moment, today, I was holding Audrey and Brynn instructed me to put Audrey down so that Brynn could play with her. She said:

"Mommy, Audrey...put down." then she pointed at a place on the carpet "Here Mommy, Here" I followed orders and Brynn and Audrey laughed and giggled with each other.

makes it all worth it.

Also as you can see from my update...her vocabulary continues to improve exponentially...there are rarely times we can't comprehend what she is telling us, although we are her parents. I am not sure everyone would read her as clearly.

She loves to draw, loves to *write* she requests "Mommy, write, name"
She will tell you what her name is.
She talks on the phone...like actual back and forth conversation (small talk)...which makes my mom happy!
She is a picky eater at dinner...constant battle.

Oh, I almost forgot! She is FINALLY done with the bottle! Woot Woot! Even though it was only down to 2 a day....she just wouldn't let those wake-up bottles....I never thought she would give it up. It just took a week in Maui with no bottles to break the habit. And since we don't give Audrey bottles at home...we are bottle free at home! I seriously do not miss washing bottles. SWEET!!

Brynn is also going through a shy phase. If we go to a place with other kids, even if she has basically grown up with the kids, she takes a while to warm up to go off and play with other kids. So she is a little Opihi for like 30-45 minutes until she decides she wants to be social.

The funny thing is is she doesn't have this problem at school. From what I have seen, she is incredibly social at school and as soon as we drop her off, she runs off to play with other kids, and when we pick her up, we nearly have to drag her away.

Just a little shy phase.

Yay for being off the bottle! I love the last picture. So cute! Addy said, "Who is that baby?" I told her it was Brynn and now she keeps walking around saying, "Brynn in bathing suit, Brynn, Brynn, Brynn". I guess she likes the pic too ;)
