The series is : True Blood on HBO. The main vamp played by Stephen Moyer (aka vampire Bill) I think is a total hottie (and British BTW) but still doesnt replace Bobby ;)
The books are by Charlaine Harris the first of the series being Dead until Dark
It took awhile to get used to the different world (in these books: they cant go out in daytime at all, they dont sparkle, and they can get it on with little or no issues)
Let me know if any of you try it out and what you think. I know I am obsessed!

PS....so I bought the first one today. It looks there are seven in the series?? Is that right? Have you read all of them?
I think there are actually 9 in the series (but 8 in paperback)...with #10 coming out in October!

The New Moon Trailer left me wanting MORE...but I guess thats what trailers are supposed to do right? What did you think? I am so standing in line 11/20!

So we just watched the first two episodes in True Blood and enjoyed them. It is taking some slight adjusting to with my only reference to vampires being Twilight and the yummines of our boy RP. I ordred the first book, but is not going to be here until July, so I am waiting.
How many seasons of true blood have there been already? Do you have a fvorite season or episode yet??
I LOVED THE TRAILER for New Moon. My plan is to see it that Friday the 20th during the day because the yippey screaming girls are still in school.(thanksgiving break is the week after) I am trying to get a few die hards to come with me tat day and you are more than wemcome to join us. I saw twilight in the theater 6 times(half of those going solo)
I am counting down the days...dear lord how I love these books and movies.
