Remembering Whats Important
December 16th, 2008
In the hustle and bustle of life, especially when
you have a newborn and a toddler to tend to,
it is far too easy to forget what is important in life.
With keeping the house in order, planning christmas
events, parties and presents, chasing after toddler
Brynn, nursing Audrey, trying to give my girls each
special time with all the other goings on, managing
finances, LAUNDRY tons of laundry. It seems as
though chad and I had forgotten to take a second to
remember to tend to each other and our own
relationship.
Its so easy to neglect the relationship that brought us here in the first place. I love Chad so much, I don't think I tell him enough how much he means to me. We have been together for Eight years now, and I remember in the "early days" how it was just him and I, it was obviously a lot easier to have alone time to just chat and have adult conversation where we are not talking about Brynn going #2 on the potty, or how many times Audrey woke up
last night. I want to make sure that we
remember to take time to show love & just
ask "How are you doing, how was your day"
At the end of life, it wont matter if I was
caught up on laundry or what my credit score
was, or if I was able to keep up with the mass
amounts of dishes, or ifI let my toddler leave
crap everywhere or watch toomuch Elmo.
What is going to matter are the relationships
I have formed & the love we created & shared
and the children that came of that love.
THAT is what is important.
And I hope I never forget that.
