So remember how my hospital bill came in $300 cheaper than I had anticipated?
Well, I found a place for it.
So I am driving along the freeway yesterday, prob going 70-ish, and BAM I hit something out of no where. I look behind me and see a BIG.ASS.ROCK. Like seriously this thing is the size of my head!
I couldnt believe it! I was so freaked out, but thankful that I hadnt lost control of my car. When I got to my destination, I realized that I had totally busted, not only my tire, but my Alloy rim as well. Ugh.
And lucky me, since our car is so new (2007) you can really only get the rim at select places. So, I am pretty sure I can kiss that $300 good bye. But here is the thing. I am not getting paid right now, I dont HAVE 300 sitting in my checking account NOT already accounted for. But, I DO have savings, so thats good.
But here is the thing about me....I am slightly type A when it comes to money. I dont think its the *worst* trait to have. As a result of it, we do live our lives pretty stress free, we dont have alot of debt, maybe 1K on my CC. Anywho. I digress.
Due to my slight type A....when unexpected expenses come in, even if I have the money to pay for it. I start to panic. Last night I lay in bed and start to think about the 300 and the ripple effect its going to have, and all the other unexpected expenses that are coming my way (I am CONVINCED they come in threes) and how I am going to cover them without depleting my savings......
So what I am going to do to calm myself down is sit down and map out every expense I have until I go back to work and do a little spreadsheet. That way I know that I have everything covered and I can sleep at night.
So anyways, thats my luck.....save a little spend alot.
At least I get a shiny new rim out of the deal right? And, I do have to add, I would MUCH rather be dealing with paying for a new rim and tire than dealing with a car accident with EASILY could have happened dur to said rock.
